You can use it well in training even, against fast and powerful topspins you could drill it in. But live games with random placements and movement, those factors increase the difficulty a ton. Getting a bit off topic though. The players I tried to emulate were zhan Jian and liajiawei. There's also wu jiaduo. And shen yanfei https://www.tabletennisdaily.com/forum/ ... e-backhand Thanks! That link is great, lots of videos. I just discovered Wu Jiaduo as well. |

For SP though, from what I experienced, using the fast/grippy ones like joola express ultra or butterfly raystorm -- your opponents won't even realize you have SP for a long time, if ever! They play so much like inverted, your blocks and loops aren't a whole lot different. Benefit is they're easier to control for you in terms of spin and attacking. That seems to be what most of the SP shakehanders use. LJW used spectol though, so it does have a good sinking effect. The spectol 21 is very good, but hard to do "standard" loops with it. I don't know of any male SP shakehander forehand that used anything but the grippy pips. So, there must be something to it... Although shushmit uses spectol 21 on forehand very well, now that I think of it. I've used spectol, impartial xb, 802-40, 802, ssp, raystorm, joola express ultra, keiler/gipfelsturm, super knuckle do, attack 8m, yasaka one karlson uses, etc. |

Check out Haifu Dolphin. Great sound, dip effect with flat smashes. Can loop but not very dangerous. |

Yes I mean the loop is not dangerous. But lifting ok and using for serves is ok too. So I do use them but their biggest problem is their availability and consistency in quality. I'm using my old ones and always look for people who going to Asia to hook me up. The only consistent sheets I've been able to find is on Japsko, but their batches recently have a top sheet staying glued to sponge problem. They told me they would be getting new batches that were better but still haven't heard from them. On my newest set-up I do use Friendship (bc cheap) but would change immediately if I found Dolphin. I'm actually having friends bring me some sheets from HK soon. Hope that helps. |
