Thanks for posting this! I haven't tried the ORKan II yet. But using the regular ORKan, I didn't find it to be very good at chopping. It's good for blocking, it can take off a lot of pace close to the table. I just wonder if the harder sponge on the ORKan II will take away the primary benefit of the rubber, that is, the slower, off-speed nature of the ball.

I was interested to see the blocks with Degu Pro. Being a short pip, I wouldn't have expected Degu to have more problems for the opponent, but it seemed to be flatter and a little faster (naturally for a SP vs MP).

I use Orkan II and i noticed that my opponents were often in trouble against my blocks and against my rolls or flicks; i think the sponge hardness is ideal because the rubber is fast enough for drives and counterdrives but slow and controlling enough for drop shots, less effective in pushes that are poor in spin, but a disturbing rubber cannot generate lots of spin by itself, the universal rubber doesn't exist.

Have been using Orkan on and off for the last year on the BH in 1.5mm. The weakness for me is the rather over bouncy sponge which when combined with the soft also springy pimples makes it rather imprecise on chops, pushes and counter hits - seems to play better as it ages. Orkan 2 may resolve this but not available in 1.5mm and heavier :(
