That explains why you think your SP's spin is gone after a month. Clean it just as you would inverted rubber. The reduced surface area of a pips out rubber means it gets affected by dirt and oils (from the ball from sweaty players' hands) even faster than inverted rubbers do. I clean my LPs between every match or they become horribly inconsistent on strokes that impart spin. Search this site for "simple green" to learn about my method.
