Pretty much all of the pros who use LP are modern choppers, and to be effective, a modern chopper has to have a huge forehand loop that they can hit from off the table (like Joo or Chen Weixing) and SP are terrible at doing pretty much anything from far off the table and cannot produce sufficient power on loops to be effective at that level.
