Sounds great alfie. Maybe the 802-40 is worth a try.

if you do make sure you get the white supersoft 35* sponge, there are a lot of different 35* sponges out there but that one is the best by far

Thanks a lot everybody for the advice. And no Haggisv, I havn´t played him again. Playing with SP myself in the forehand makes it difficult to generate significant topspin with my forehand. If I really want to win against him, I can twiddle and use the inverted side in my forehand, but I would like to beat him with the SP in the forehand. I agree that I have to keep the balls long. He has excellent footwork and kills short balls quite consistently. I have now ordered the globe 889 in 1,8 mm. It might give more speed in my opening shots without loosing to much control.

889 has a higher throw angle than does 802 so that might help in making an opening shot. So might Galaxy Uranus or Joola Snabb.

I'm using Joola Snabb and I find I can make a hard roll that is just above the net but still long, near the white line. With my lower throw angle Joola Tango Ultra I would often loop short, rather than long.

You might think about placement so it's not easy to attack, to the backhand or wide to the forehand and then come to the backhand, but always low. Some hitters prefer backspin, whle others like top, see which he doesn't like and give him that.
