I'm using TSP Curl P1R 1.0mm on my backhand, and I am doing very well chopping with it, until I play one person at my club. Every chop I seem to do, no matter what variations and lengths I do, he wallops it right by me out wide. Is there any way I can try and nullify his attacks with my backhand so that he just loops it? Even my low chops get smashed :(

Thank you,
Jackson

There is always "that guy" who plays well against a chopping game isn't there?!

Here are some things I try when I play someone similar:
1. If they do not attack as well on one side, I chop to their weaker wing.
2. If they play to one side then I chop wide to the other side-most players can't rip as hard if they have to move a long way to get to the ball
3. I try to change my game-I may even resort to a pushblocking game or even "rolling" with my LP- I have seen some players unable to handle that ball who can rip the snot out of a good chop.
4. I try to control the game with MY topspin FH
5. Last resort is to flip and attack w my inverted on my BH from off the table.

other strategies-get better serves/serve return

there are probably more things to try-lob, chop better (we can always get better) etc.
