I saw this in a diff forum and thought it was a good question. After a tourney do you make notes of the person you played? The kind of serves they have, the strong point they have, and the things that hurt/helped you the most against him. I do keep notes like this because you never know when you will play him again. And for those of us that play a lot of tourneys, its hard to keep all the people you have played straight.

I tend to make notes more about my play and the things I've learned during the match, rather than the opponent, then I like to review those notes before every match so I can key on the things that are most important to me.

I don't make written notes (but I should) however I have a decent memory and everyone makes lots of mental notes.

A 'little black book' of the people you have played is something that John Hilton recommends highly.

I never make written notes. I would feel a little weird doing that actually and I wonder about its efficiency considering people change. Further I want to win by having a strong game myself and not rely on their weaknesses to win.

I take note about how poorly I did against such and such shot or how I did something right, so I can improve or maintain, but now do this mainly through video. I don't try to keep a written record of my opponents, it never works as they can play different.
