I saw a neat trick the other day... a coach put a string just above the net, and let their pupils play games, and only if the serve went under the string the point counted.

What other tricks have you seen, which are handy for coaching?

If you want to force a specific stroke like loop or flip to be played in a match situation:

You are playing a match and only you can make points. match duration for example 10min. Serve is depending on the the stroke(if you want to enforce flip, your oppenent should serve, for loop you are serving) maybe you can also set a specific situation like short serve, long return etc.

If you win the point directly with the enforced stroke, you gain 3 points

If you win the rally in witch you have played that stroke, you gain 2 points

If you win the point without ever playing that stroke, you gain 1 point

If you loose the rally after you have played that storke, you loose 1 point

If you loose the rally without playing that stroke, you loose 3 points

I have played this a few times and is a lot of fun and it really helps if you are hesitating on some strokes.
