I can't say I've ever seen an other professional do this, and it's not just a 'once off'! :o :o :o

I believe I saw niwa do this against XX earlier in the tournament.

When I saw that, I thought I saw a video of ma long chop blocking with inverted. Don't remember if it was here or mytt.

definitely one level above ma long chop's block i have to say, that rapid instant in which he changed the chops direction, the ball go way weird out, making the receiver push it safely knowing that the spin was loaded af, that last one on xu xin, well that one is devastating to say the least

I just love Koki Niwa! It is like he has a totally different brain compared to other TT-players. Too bad he wasn't focused enough to close the semi final. I would love to see him in that shape and mood against Fan Z in the final.

I seem to recall hearing that term - "ballroom" - used elsewhere to describe that shot. I think it was Niwa-san in the match..

That and Kenta's sidespin block going the other way are truly something! Do we need anti and pips to block at all!? ;)
