Defence is horizonless? Is this a saying in the speaker's language, or a translation issue?

Was good otherwise. My summary:

Defence doesn't make it at the top levels of table tennis.

At the lower levels where unforced errors abound it can be quite successful, just getting the ball back on the table.

As you rise through the ranks, simply getting the ball back is not enough.

Don't feel that you have to be an attacker, or a defender or a mixture. Play how you want to play.

Play with equipment appropriate to how you want to play.

Well, the term defender or attacker itself a misnomer,

You don't have to be a chopper or blocker to be a defender, nor being a looper or hitter to be an attacker. ;)

Just ask Those Who,

Clueless on how penetrate Samsonov or Marchez* or Saive Counterloop Defense, or,

Face palming Himself or Herself by getting finished by Waldner block or by getting pressured by Amelie Solja block, or,

Drown in despair by constantly guessing Chtchetinine Chop return spin, or, pressured by Joo increasingly heavy chop,

:D

Disagree. It has, and could. There just isn't a large enough sampling of talent in the DefenSe Pool. It's all about numbers. If 95% of the world were defenders with the resources of a country like China, there would most definitely be a defender at the top level, even with the new ball.

Depends on what you define as "top level". Is top 10 in the world not the top level? Joo was ranked number 5 in 2012. Today, the highest ranked defensive player is Ruwen Filus, who is number 23. Does that not count as top level?

Can I just point out that I was summarizing the video when I said:
Quote:

I myself am a defender, so there is no need to rebut my summary of the video to me.

Now if my name was debater ... :)
