Hi,

People love to play sets in our training. I like also practise more techniques like opening 3rd ball and so on. Do you have ideas how to play sets that you can practise those skills during a set?
I have noticed for example that you have to attack 3rd ball or you dont get points make you try harder to open. So if you have ideas like that for example serving/receiving practise during a set please let me know?
Soba

I played a set today with a training partner where all balls and serves had to go into the crossover point.

One thing Hangdog and I did when he came for a visit was do a drill where each person serves twice, and then switch. No points counted. Quite enjoyable.

There is different serves, serves return and 3rd ball attack.

You can decide those 3 component and see what work well for you.

Then find the serves that the opponent have problems with and practice that. You practice your serve and he practice his serve return until you can attack this return.

The same for the 3rd ball attack you have problems with.

So you have hours of practice with that.
