Do you think it matters what equipment you use to become better, and make your technique better?
I took my Donic rubber off and put on Milkyway Mercury as they are both not too soft, and not too hard, and I want to get my technique better with cheaper rubbers.

equipment shouldn't "make you a better player" what it should do is hone the abilities you already have - IE finding equipment that suits an already developed game.

i find players starting should always use simple, all round equipment in which a normal stroke with normal technique can be achieved. At our club, the coaches usually give the Juniors rubbers similar to Mark V to start.

Well, I'm working on all of my basic to intermediate strokes again now, trying to get my technique up to scratch.

Do you think cheap Milkyway rubbers are allright to do this with, so when I go to better rubbers, I'll have my technique down?

i don't have a particularly positive opinion towards milky way rubbers..from what i've used there's a lot of grip problems, and when doing the right stroke you may find it not having the wanted effect.....

but i'm not highly experienced with milky way. I can only reccommend what works for the juniors at my club.

I don't really want to spend lots of money on rubbers, and I already have these ones. I suppose I just want some rubbers I can develop my technique with, rather than being really special.

harder rubbers improving your technique is a myth.

Your technique will improve with training and practice.

I didn't mean hard rubbers, I just meant any cheap rubbers that you have to work to get the ball back over, thus hopefully improving your technique.
