just curious, leaving out the question of skill - everything else being equal - what kind of opponent's style makes you go "He's mine!"

Let me just make it clear, it's not a preferred style in the sense of entertaining games (for example, you might feel confident about defensive players but the games are dead boring) - just winning.

I'm sure there are infinite shades of grey when it comes to styles - I've tried to make just some very general categories (based on my personal experience of opponents) - but if anyone feels I've missed out on a substantial style - let me know. It seems you can add options later after the poll has been started....

I know pretty much what I get when I play a chopper. I know the tactics to win and I have the shots to win. This makes me the most confident against any of the styles I pay against. Only problem is the ones rated hundreds of rating points higher than me is that there is a very good reason why it is and the result is obviously going to fall to them most of the time. I can lose to those rated equal to me if I am my notoriously inconsistant FH self. BUT... I still would rather go down trying to implement my offense not being afraid to attack, rather than have the other player dictate the flow and stifle my attacks.

I very much prefer the choppers, since it gives me more time to setup my offence... which I need with my poor footwork and reflexes. :D :D :D

Because of my game style I love playing against drivers and loopers. I will sometimes set them up and dare them to try to put it past me.

I enjoy playing against aggresive loopers and blockers,
because i play the same way.

I love agressive opponents (loopers, that is), just to play my controlling pushing/blocking game ( 2 sides inverted, mind you!). These people tend to be over-anxious to get in the attack, thus giving weak first attacks which lead to a rally controlled by me, where the opponent is just running to loop the ball back. ("Waldner-Timo Boll"-video style)

I hate agressive hitters, they make my blocks way less consistent, this makes my usual game risky instead of no-risk.

On the other hand, my all time fav opponents are LP players! Any style! (I have lost to only 2 LP players in the previous 3 years) I just love the predictability (against low level players), but I love the tactical battle (against higher level players) even more!

drivers are most easy for me.
When they drive and it hits my fast racket when I block it usually gets back too fast at them to drive again or even touch the ball sometimes.. that is if I placed it in a proper direction of course.
