i read on speedplays review that best anti had more reversal effect in blace, and since i think its just a bit grippy with sponge, i have it in red. does the color of the topsheet really make a difference for antis? there is a difference for normal inverted, but for an anti it might change. long pips in red give better reversal, while inverted gives more tack for black rubbers.

It depends on the rubber, but for most rubbers, red has more reversal.

I think you've got this part wrong, as I'm pretty sure I said that Red has better reversal, while black allows for creating more spin on your own. To my knowledge, there is a bigger difference between red and black when ti comes to anti then there is with regular inverted.

I agree

I've got Ellen Def, Joola Toni Hold and Super Anti in both red an black and the difference is seen in all of those rubbers. It's not just single sheet variability either as I have more than 1 sheet in them too.

Whether the gap is bigger in anti compared to normal rubbers I'm not sure. There certainly is a gap and I think due to the minimal grip and pace of the rubbers it becomes very noticeable. It could be a bigger gap, it could be a bigger percentage gap overall (due to the low starting levels).
