I want to test Dr Neubauer Grizzly - A-B-S sponge and Dr Neubauer Grizzly .

Anyone have used this Anti rubbers?

What is the difference between Grizzly ABS and normal Grizzly?

Different sponges. ABS-version is slower with better control. Personally, I think Grizzly ABS is the best of the Dr. N antis.

Why do you think Grizzly ABS is the best? May I have info about it?

I have only experiment with 1,2mm A-B-S on BH. It has a good control and low speed, but I guess It can make low level of reversal.
Could you compare A-B-S, Grizzly, and Gorilla anti sheets with thin sponge connection with reversal and speed?
Thank you in advance.
Pal

I have played Gorilla in .6 and 1.8 (special sponge) versions. It has good reversal, but is extremely fast and the most unforgiving rubber I ever used. You must have the angle perfect. I have not played it with Gorilla ABS.

As you said, ABS is very slow with high control/low reversal. The Grizzly ABS is medium speed with decent control and reversal. This is also the one Dr. N. himself uses against all around players (he uses Anti Special against loopers).

Thanks a lot MNNB.
Last week I ordered a Gorilla in .6 version, I will probably get it this week. After test trial I will back with my experiment.

is It legal to change-homemade-the sponge under topsheet?
If I would find too fast Gorilla in.6 like also you, and I would stick my sponge of A-B-S under Gorilla sheet? then I would have much less speed and high reversal. am I thinking about it correctly?

I am supposing You used Gorilla in 1.8 version on your FH. was It difficult to find the correct angle the same way than .6 version on your BH? or It had less trouble to use it becuse of bigger speed?
Pal

It is legal to change the sponge. I only used the different versions of Gorilla on the backhand. 0.6 was unplayable for me. 1.8 has a dampening sponge and is slower.

In the case of ABS, the 1.2 is the slowest.

I also saw Dr.N.'advertisment on their homepage regarding to he uses Anti Special against loopers.
I have never used Anti Special, but I am curious.
I suppose the messages of using of Anti Special is Anti Special has the bigger reversal among their antis and It is the most usuable against loopers.
Do you really think this is the reality and not only Dr. N. has the biggest stock of Anti Special sheets in him warehouse?
So, if I would like to get the biggest reversal, should I try to Anti Special? is It right?

in usually What depends on quantity of reversal? is It only becuse of anti topsheets?
What is the role of sponge? is It only the rate of speed or is it able to make any disruptive effect also?
Thanks a lot in advance.

Base on my trial , the Gorilla with 0.6 mm on Dr.N Special blade provide me the most reversal but a bit difficult to control. Need to spend some time to practice until you feel convience using it.

ABS - AS some how is easier to play but my personal feel is , your opponent will be easier to play with them either.

Hi Pimple Lover,
How does speed of Gorilla 0,6 suit to your game? Do not you find it too fast as It was written above by MNNB?
I made some trials with it and I like the big reversal against big loopings, but I am afraid of it I will never be able to block really well the fast or may slow no spin balls, therefore I give to my opponent good opportunities to hit and finish the points.
