I guess your post is about talon or NM ?
Is talon faster ?

I did play talon and played as a "complete" block rubber.
You played pogo too... so you know what I mean.
This is first an overall rubber. Complete.

May we expect more from nightmare in your opinion ?

Sorry I had misread your original question and thought it was about Talon, not about Nightmare with reference to Talon. My bad!

I have found this thread fascinating. I've used Anti very little (mainly only SA and then didn't like it much). It seems NM is almost a complete block rubber. Or at least most the guys in the vids seem to use it best that way.

I would be curious, is there anyone who has already decided to replace him DtecS with Nightmare Anti, and why?

I would like to share a bit as I played yesterday with both Talon (Ox) and guard spezial (1.8) yesterday. Sure this is not what you asked but... as I played them on the same wood. I d like to share this.

The Guard is a bit slower, but reversal is amazing in passive block. I had some trouble to contain multiple top spin or flat "speedy flat hits" or killers as they seems to bury into the Guard. This might be a lot different with the nightmare maybe.
I found it a bit hard to contain sometimes the incoming speed I have not the move to short my blocks enough and keep the ball on the table. I tried to change the amount of reversal by adding some action and it changed my returns: reversal or quite flat but it is hard to quantify. Sometimes returns are really amazing, float, directs points, peaople feels unconfortable to play against it, they changed directly to : serve backspin, and hit...

Playing after with the talon (my official setup) is quite ineffective in term of passive blocking even if I feel more confortable with the LP. The opponent was confortable on my block / returns but less on my attacks / rool / punch returns.

I'm interrested in playing the NM, to see the improvments comparing to guard tuned.
But I guess starting now changing LP to anti is too late for the next season.

Somebody to speak about improvment between gaurd tuned and NM.

I do not have any experiment with Talon OX and Guard Special but as I saw some vids I can not imagine that Talon would be better than DtecS or Guard would be better than NM but It was nice to see your opinion about them.
I can agree with some earlier opinions, there is no better passive block rubber at the moment than NM. Nothing produces better spin reversal than NM, but I can not really well handle the no spin balls with it. (shortly and flatly kept ball on the table)
DtecS has a not bad spin reversal and a special effect: When I push back no spin ball, sometimes this can produce spin reversal, and unexpected won point for me. Until this I did not see this effect other pips.

So I should learn to use NM against no spin balls for hitting, rolling or only a short pushing, but I am affraid of that, It will not take only a month.

Hi,

i have testet the Nigthmare to. At first i had have muce problems. No it's better - but i have allways problems with the revers from fast fast service and with non rotate balls at the anti. Guido told my that i must answer aktiv to balls without rotation. My biggest problem is the time for training. 8) I had muce orders for my blades and my family needs also time.
I will make not muce matches this year - so i can start training with 2 blades.

2) ULMO - Testingblade (on Elmstreet)

Yes, Ulmo has a very good business sense, after this everyone will want to have the existing most dangerous weapon based on its reputation  .

At the moment i have 36 Blades cut of and i have a layer for 10 more finished. 8)

I think you need a blade max 80g and with a speed max. All..All+. Also you need a Nigthmare with low friction.

No - i still working at the Two Face - there are some problems - but i hope i find a way soon.

This is a blade with a 3mm Abachi (Sama) Saw Veneer, Epoxy Gluing (two component) and the good old Limba-Limba Veneers at the top. So it's a 5 layer blade - i like it! I use a special kind of gluing to get a thin gluing for a good feeling

yesterday i made the next sesion with the nigthmare. My problem: you mus slow dowm with this rubber. The best result and the best reverse is when you make as less as posible. If you played akiv you make more mistakes and the ball is not as dangerous as a passiv ball. My style is to push aktiv again backspin ore to play a aktiv LP topspin - this style is not optimal for the anti. So i am still thinking about to play with the D-Tec with my rosewood-carbon Off blade, because i have more than 15 years experimence with differnent LP. The Nigthmare have still potential - but i don't know if the rubber is for the style with i like to play.
