Got a chance to play with Best Anti (1.3 red bh side of Donic Defplay Senso) a little yesterday and today. I have used LP ox for a while so anti rubbers are new to me, but so far I like this one.

It definitely slows the game down even in 1.3. I actually had to adjust to how slow it was when a few feet back from table, had to push it a good bit just to get it over the net. Chops (even a few feet back) were fairly easy and seemed to pop up a little (not high, but higher than a push-block) getting over the net easily. Seems to have pretty good reversal (again, can't compare to others) when blocking at the table, got a few easy points  . I was more comfortable hitting hard with bh than I am with ox LP. I believe this is due to sponge underneath so trajectory isn't so straight.

I really need more play-time with Best Anti to get used to how it plays different than LP and may even get it in 2.0 to see the differences. This is my take so far and enjoyed how it played :) .

I've been experimenting with this stuff recently. Great stuff for keeping the ball on the table. I'm trying to work on a more attacking John Hilton-type game with it rather an doing a lot of underspin shots and this rubber is particularly suited for this.

The 1.3 seems to work better on softer, slower blades like the THWS. The 2.0 goes better with harder ALL blades.

Just an experiment at this stage. Still blocking, only more aggressively.

I now have the 2.0 sponge but on Gambler OS Kevlar blade and like it so far. I like the extra sponge. It blocks and chops good and I really like that I can hit harder with BH with good control. Doesn't seem that much slower than 1.3 sponge(could be due to different blade) but have only played a few people with it and no hard loopers yet. Hopefully I can get a better feel tomorrow after playing some better players.

Played again today with Best Anti 2.0 and I like the way it plays. When chopping against loops it has a lot of backspin on it and stays low over net pretty easy. Spin reversal is not near as much as with 1.3 but it still block well and slows the game down a good bit. Very good control with this rubber, just still need to practice more with it to get a better feel.

Hello, time to out me as an NBA player.(red, 1,3mm on Shake Defense Wood)
The Anti is very easy to handle and has some extraordinary behaviour. There is the very save and flat defending without any towers.
The grip is unlinear, that means its there and sometimes not, very unpredictable for the opponents.
You can attack with aktivblocks, wishers and my secret wappon "chickenwingcounterattack".
Every stroke is possible. Feeling is middelhard not soft.
Because of modifying the sponge of the newer ones are little faster but more soft.
I play the elder sponge, you can recognize at the serial number on the topsheet. On newer ones there is no number.

I've often heard that the older version of NBA is better than the current version. If you had to use the new sponge would you still use the NBA?

I think no.
I have organised some with old sponge and now I hope them to use for the next ten yaers.
I also have a look to other Antis for to get something similar.
Timeless with a harder sponge would be an option.

The NBA has a topsheet, wich is not found by me to any other anti.
With low and few pressure it is nearly friktionless.
With more pressure you can get friktion to control direkt strokes and attack.
If you are able to use different pressure in change, you can produce errors.
It is not to be seen at the balls flightcourse and is praktikable with high control.

Hi
May I use this post for a question about the use of the Best Anti?
One week ago, I was informed by my doctor it would be beter to avoid any backhand topspin, nice, I was only training with two inverted from july...

So as I didn't have any Long Pimples where I was, I put a Best Anti 2.0mm on a Cos 3.
Yesterday, it was the first championship match. I played agains 4 players and I win 3 of them but the one who defeated me bringd me a lot of problems with a really stupid thing : a fast and without spin service.
I didn't manage to block it shortly or it was too high and he then attack immediately. When I try to chop, as I didn't make any spin it was also easy for him.

How would you manage this?

I see now 3 possibilities :
more practicing with Best Anti
practising with Neubauer ABS 1.2 which I find a good potential, more disturbing effects also but less control
go back to Long Pimples OX or 0.5mm

Hi Diabolysyl

You could twiddle and use inverted rubber to chop back. I however would revert to a long pimple with sponge. I have elbow and shoulder problems and am returning to long pips because I cannot initiate topspin attacks with backhand inverted rubber.

We have tons of instructive videos in our special Anti Tactics and Techniques section. I'm sure you'll get some ideas there.

Hi Everybody

I have decided to check out NBA and put it on an old Grubba all round plus blade 2mm red with Energy Xtra max on the other side.

Any shots to try and what to avoid would be helpful. Hoping to use it to stay in rallies and get the Energy into play on the forehand wing.

How is it for service return? Ongoing struggles with return of serves. Probably my technique!!
