Do some anti spin rubbers look flat like inverted rubbers? If so it would be highly deceptive :)

Sorry I am new to this!

All anti spin rubbers do. And yes it certainly can be deceptive if you are not aware they have anti, or are not aware they are twiddling it.

In the past it was more deceptive but after the two color Rule(black and red) opponents have chance to see which side is anti by looking at the color of the rubber.

It's quite obvious when someone is using Anti-Spin compared to normal inverted rubber, and thanks to the Black/Red rule you can keep an eye on it if they are twiddling. ;)

Very true, however if they do not know before you start the match, you could get some free points before the figure it out!

But you have right to look at the opponent rubber before the match start.

Sorry this is slightly off topic but from what I have read, you have used many anti spin rubbers, which one would you say has the most control and spin reversal, while not being affected by spin?

Control and reversal are almost opposites for many strokes, so that's not an easy question to answer.

You should get in the habbit of looking at the other person bat before a game and evn ask if its normal rubber
also make sure you have a few hits against it before the game, mind you some players may hide the anti or long pimples during the warm up (ie not use it) , so be brainy and say .... " why you friggggen little.... etc and hit to the opposite side lol

There are two very different answers to your question. The one anti with very high spin retention and rather high control is the Nightmare. The one anti with very high control and some spin retention is the Joola Timeless (but be aware of its price and poor craftsmanship).

Whoa, I really do not want to spend 100 dollars on a rubber, from what I have read, mirage has good control and some spin reversal. Am I right about this?

Mirage has virtually no reversal and is still $50.

If you want good anti without spin reversal I can say Joola Toni Hold anti. This is also the oldest anti as far as I know. You can do everything with it except your own spin and of course no spin reversal.

If there is no spin reversal, what are the other advantages?

Supreme control. It has a little spin reversal, but not enough to be troublesome. Considered a chopping anti although you can block with it too.
