Just wondering if anyone here uses an antispin/SP combo and if so how you find it.

Former O-70 world champion Dieter Lippelt uses an SP/Anti setup. He will mostly chop with both sides with the occasional attack.

My forehand is TSP Spectol and backhand is Timeless and this combo works very well. Before I used Tornado,Pistol,Leopard,799,802-40 ,802,Blowfish ect but this combo is the best one for me.

Fadil, so what are your tactics for using this combination? How do you exploit the qualities of SP and antispin together?

From backhand side I mostly shoot with Timeless but because it is anti not fast shoots and when the ball returns I attack with Short pip, mostly shoot.Spectol is good for shooting and also when you chop it sends very spinny balls. For blocking both Timeless and Spectol are good.Sometimes I send float balls with Timeless and then attack with forehand. For good attacker I block from both sides and chop from forehand and from backhand with the magic and spinreversal of Timeless I try to win points. For all round players I also attack from both sides.Spector also has good topspin capacity.

Thanks Fadil!

I've not heard the term "shoot" before in table tennis. Does this mean a flat hit?

Although English is official language in the country I was born, I ain't a native speaker myself: Is "smash" actually the same as "flat hit"?

I think if one of the native speakers in the form answers your question it will be much better...
