Guard Special has a dampening sponge, rather hard, but catching the ball nonetheless. If it is reversal you are after, go for something else, for there is practically none with this anti. It is an attack anti, fast, highly controllable, but too grippy to bother good players.
If you could specify your exact needs, giving advice would be easier... But in general, if you want the anti for receiving serve without problems and block/attack in an allround/attack game, the cheap ones suitable for this have very little to no reversal and you have to pay for the good stuff: Juic, Nittaku, Yasaka, Stiga. If you want it for defense and push-attack-by-reversal, there is no real good or cheap alternative for Neubauer anti's. If you want it for chopping/attacking, you could use the Guard Special (or the Guard), but Tibhar Ellen Def would be better and still rather inexpensive. Actually, the Juic and Nittaku anti's work for that too. So a good and safe (but not cheap) choice would be Juic Neoanti in 1.5, or the Tibhar Ellen in 1.5. The very cheap Chinese anti's (Friendship 804, Meteor 835) are not regular anti's, but half-anti's, meaning that they will not reverse spin, but neutralize it more or less (you still have to read it and do the right thing), and are good to hit with, but less good for chopping.
Thank you soo much Kees very good suggestion, ill try to get Guard Special as my coach says i should be more aggressive and attack with my BH more, and if i dont like the reversal i could always put it under UV lights.
