Hi hello9959,
You should make a test trial with Aurora, its FH is not slow, mainly with a fast rubber, I know that your Hurricane 2 is fast but not the one of the fastest inverted rubber.
I can attack aggressively with Aurora the same way as I can with my Stiga Anniversary blade. Their speed similar to each other on FH.

Hi Pal,
Thanks for your post.. I missed out to read your reply and couldnt reply on time.. Sorrry for that... I agree with you Aurora has decent forehand speed. But I have a problem with the balsa wood used in aurora. Balsa characteristics and anti rubber characteristics contradict each other and makes it more unreliable on strokes or inconsistent... So playing balsa wood with anti is more of personal choice... I tried to search a lot on internet and what i found was all the combination plys has balsa content...So now i am researching on fast normal stiff blades... some of the options i have is DHS PG7.stigga clipper CR. Not decided yet..

I have missed to mention one important fact in my precious post.. Balsa blades work excellently with pip out rubbers but not with anti..

Hi ,

if you like Balsa blades try NIGHTMARE 1,5mm with EXCALIBUR blade.
The spin reversal is amazing!
I have never seen reversal like this also not with forbidden frictionless long pimples.
Also weight is fine and forehand is perfect for aggressive attacking.
My customer Phillip won the german open AK 40 with this blade aview weeks ago!

If you do not like balsa see the new spinhunter carbon blade it works perfect with NIGHTMARE in 1,2mm!

Best regrads Guido

Hi Pal,

yes in my opinion NIGHTMARE has the best spin reversal of all "glantis" .
I suggest NIGHTMARE 1,5mm on EXCALIBUR blade not on all blades.
For allround or defensiv blades 1,2mm is fine.
Excalibur is off- and very soft this is what works with the NIGHTMARE.

NIGHTMARE with 1,2mm and EXCALIBUR blade for me it is too fast and I lose control therefore I prefer 1,5mm.

Best regards Guido

Hi Guido,
Nightmare has a huge reversal on any blade, am I right?
You suggested the Nightmare with 1,5mm sponge. is Excalibur blade a really fast blade? Was that the reason why you suggested NM with a thicker sponge to slow down the backhand side?
As I know in usual at antis the thicker sponges are slower and have less spin reversal am I right also?

Hi Guido,
Just for my understanding.
Actually i am confused with your previous post
"Excalibur is off- and very soft this is what works with the NIGHTMARE".
-----> Why very soft blades good for nightmare? May be little technical information will help me.

What is best for nightmare --->

Option1: Blade with good stiffness and hard (Slow/Fast - personal choice based on style of play)
Option2: Blade with good flexibility and soft (Slow/Fast - personal choice based on style of play)

Till now I am under impression that Option1 is the best for any SLICK anti(close to the table play and no away chops). Which one do you think is best for nightmare?

cheers,
Kiran

I doubt there will be much of a balsa-effect on the BH-side of the Aurora, because the outer plies of the DEF-side are very thick. The 4mm balsa core however will make the blade very stiff. That's why I don't like the FH-side much, it is less suited for spin-oriented play, esp. topspin

Hi Kiran,

Nightmare ANTI is very hard so you will lose controll by using hard fast blades.
Also Tempo will be much higher as the ballcontact at the blade is very fast.
Herefore soft blades will help to keep the ballcontact longer and you get more controll and a slower tempo.
For the spin reversal there are of course better results with hard blades/carbon blades like "Spinhunter" blade.
In my opinion this are only 10% more by using hard blades min. 30% less controll.

Best regards Guido

It's annoying a little to read your question in four different threads... Couldn't you decide?
