Hi Guys,

The only problem watching that video is the realisation that Amir's backhand is absolutely superb compared to mine. He was attacking the backspin with such power. Was he using the Anti King blade? It was such an entertaining video. Congratulations to DMS!

I have never found an anti I could use to attack! Curses!

yes

you can learn it! ;) i give lessons in austria now and then and i see how people learn it with time..its not magic, its just a matter of training...maybe not that easy, but rewarding! ;)

I think the quick punch aa makes in the vid is EXACTLY the right stroke to attack backspin with hard surfaced slick anti.
I prefer more of a standard drive stroke and it works a lot better with the softer TH new 40

The site seems to claim spinparasite is a step up against dead balls.
Do you find that true?
What shot do you play?

I've found beast excellent against heavy spin but terribly frustrating against light spin.
I don't have much confidence this will be better but I already ordered a sheet because hope springs eternal :)

What is the characteristics of Spinparasite in terms of slickiness, speed, and sponge softness?
Thanks.

yes..the sheet is harder, so attacking is easier and faster. concerning dead balls: in the demo-video these are labeled "floating balls" and i demonstrate attacks on these.

i would claim its the slickest of all antis, faster than beast, sponge is very similar to beast, maybe even a tad softer, but the sheet feels a bit harder than beast overall due to the topsheet.

Blade: Palio Tct
FH: Yasaka Rakza 7 soft (Max)
BH: Nittaku Best Anti (1.3mm)
Summary:
1/
The Beast and Spinparasite sponge very similar.
2/
The Spinparasite top sheet harder and more slicker.

If you have the Beast and like to transform Spinparasite give Uv treatment to the top sheet. The Beast top sheet become more harder-slicker and the ball goes back lower trajectory.

Oh what I wrote. This is illegal. I'm not going to heaven

beast and spinparasite have two entirely different pimple arrangements...the beast pimples are thicker and shorter whilst spinparasites are taller and thinner. so simply treating the topsheet, wouldnt make it the same and as mentioned automatically makes the sheet "illegal".

only hit 40 minutes with 1 guy but I think I'm going to like it.

blocking hits seems better than any other anti. opponent put many second hits into the net.

hitting against light underspin was excellent.

1.5 sponge has a special feel. very soft on soft contact but seems like it may compress and 'bounce' on hard hits.
hope this doesn.t mean that blocks of speed loops become very difficult to control.
iirc nightmare had a similar feel but was simply way too fast.
tonite I have a summer league match against a heavy looper so we'll see!

How did your match against the heavy looper go?

He ****ing no-showed on me and sent a better player who punches and slaps the ball with no spin.
I took an official loss and the guy who didn't show avoids a loss(he normally self destructs against my reversal) but that's a separate rant. :(

I misssed too many with the spinP to win against the #1 I did have to play.
Not sure if it is essentially less controllable or just my second day/first competition with it.
I also almost lost a game to the #2 who is a low-spin penholder.

spinP seems to chop very poorly campared to beast or new-40.
Again, adjustment will help but I suspect it's always going to be a weaker chopping rubber.

Sounds like he chickened out and sent a guy who would give you more trouble.

Will you eventually be able to attack the spinless balls with the SpinP?

That would stop opponents taking the spin off the ball!

By spinless in this case I really meant attacking shots with very little topspin.
Nearly impossibloe to handle well with any slick anti.
Mike is one of the players I can probably beat with pips and probably lose to with anti.

I've given up on the spinP for now. Too bouncy and fast.
Missing or weaikly returning too many serves.
IMO needs a very soft but always dead sponge like timeless.
I may try the topsheet on the hard dead Zero sponge but I expect that combo will go back to the random pop-up, large angle sensitivity problems we had with the first slick antis.

Hi All!

Its my first post here and I want to share some facts about spinparasite and other antis. Im using antis not for very long. Since now I had Donic Alligator 1.5 and later Butterfly Super Anti 2.0. Alligator was medium hard to play with but has nice disruptive effect. Butterfly - first impressions - wow! how easy it is comparing to Donic. Soft with better control but of course everything must have bad side - it was too easy for my opponents (I had better results with Donic even if my play was more passive) so I switched to Spinparasite. I have played it 3 times and disruptive effect is massive! Rubber cant be slicker so 100% of rotation is given back - amazing. Also attack is easier and more dangereous but...as usual...bad side. Blocking...my first block landed 10 cm from my bat :). Hand was used to Butterfly. To be truth I still cant manage with blocking. Im trying to do it in Amir way (on video) but everything ends in net. Of course I can move back and chop but I become less dangerous because I prefer offensive forehand. Maybe somebody has any tip concerning blocking? :) Yes Amir I mean You :D. Kidding!

Summary I think I will like this rubber but I must praktice a lot. Its harder to play than Donic but more dangerous.

its probably because you are used to the rule: the more spin the topspin/loop has, the ,ore you need to close the racket. the opposite is true with slick antis!! the reason the blocks are landing in the net is because the blade angle is too closed. the more spin a loop has the more you need to open your bat angle.

Thanks for answer! I watched Your movie in slow motion and I saw that when You are blocking ball Your blade is a little bit closed and You are rising body. I cant see moment when Your blade is open. Maybe this up and down body movement has big importance? Is it possible to block ball with open blade or 90 degrees is a maximum? Thanks in advance!
