First time I opened a pack to take a close look at this rubber. Bamboozled when I opened up the packet: :o :o :o

I suppose you need to cut this on the line at the bottom to glue this rubber??? Bizarre!!!
Why not cut it flat at the bottom at the factory?

Here are a few more pictures:

The sponge seems to have relatively large pores, and it feel very soft. I assume it's a dampening sponge.

The topsheet feels hard and a little grainy... very low friction.

Has anyone cut one of these sheets before?

I thought I'd do a little bounce test, by putting the rubber sheet on the table, and dropping the ball from about 50cm. The result made me laugh    I think I'd better glue this one down

That looks..... Different. Doesn't seem to be very consumer friendly though.

The sponge and topsheet look the same as the Toni Hold from the 70s.

As far as I know it was the first anti available in Australia. If you use it for long enough the topsheet turns blackish in the hitting zone.

And I don't think it was Joola in those days.

That's the trouble.. they last forever!
BTW Here is the sheet, cut. I just cut it with a knife along a metal ruler. Easy to put on the blade now.

Still don't know why they couldn't do this at the factory.

The sponge looks like the dampfungsschwamm I got at Contra,it`s very delecate and mine came apart when I removed it from the blade, maybe better with a glue sheet to strengthen it you might be able to catch the ball dead on the blade then throw the ball lol

The ball does NOT bounce that low when on the blade... I can assure you.
As I hinted in the description for the video, bouncing it on the table is not a good test as it's not firmly attached to the surface.
