Blade: ANTI HERO
FH: PISTOL(1.00mm)
BH: VORTEX(1.2MM)
I have been playing with der-materialspezialist B.A.D. (0.7mm red color) for the last 3 months and I think it's the best slick anti in market. I have tried about 20 blades with this rubber but none of them was really suitable for it.
I told Achim Rendler (the best blade crafter in the world :D my concerns and provided feedback about my experiences and he produced a prototype blade according to these. I received the blade about 2 days ago. Like all Achim's blades this one is also very light. However, this one does a brilliant job at landing the blocks very close to the net and they also have massive spin reversal. The ball goes very close to net. It is also possible to hit the empty balls with a slick anti which is a problem with all blades. I named this prototype Salamis (an antique city in Cyprus). I didnt ask about this to Achim yet but I am sure he will like it as well :D I will keep writing about my experiences as I continue to play with this blade

Dear Mengü ..First of all I want to thank you because you gave one of our town's name 'Salamis' to this blade although we don't know weather Mr.Achim will agree or not.You are right ,your new weapon is very effective.I agree all you have written except one thing. You need some more practice about empty balls. Thanks

There's also the Battle of Salamis (if you ever watched that second "300" movie... ). Fought off the eponymous island, not the same as the ancient city in Cyprus.

Back spin Control blade is the closest one but the type of wood plies are very different and the balsa thickness on the forehand side is very different. I think Mr. Achim will be the best one to inform us about this (reim 1045 sonderbau Co 380 special).

I have played with Back Spin Control with the same rubbers and it really does not have the same effect.

Thank you!

So what is the forehand like, and is the forehand suitable for hitting or looping? What rubber do you use on the forehand?

I think the forehand side of Back Spin Control blade is very successful both with inverted rubber and short pimples. I dont play a loop centric game. I mostly do hitting, blocking and smashing from forehand. I tried the salamis blade for 2 days. First day with LEOPARD( black 1.5 mm) and it wasnt very successful. 2. day I tried Andro blowfish + (black1.8mm) and it was much better.
