Hey Def-Attack,

How does it compare to RHINO? I've been using Rhino to learn Anti as an alternate to LP OX for an attacking/blocking game, with a view that I can now block Pace as well as just spin.

Cheers

Hi,
I never tried Rhino, but compared to Bison+ it is faster and has less spin reversal. It is clearly faster when you attack, when you activate the sponge. And I believe that the thicker the sponge, the faster Power Attack is. I liked it but I needed to change back to Diabolic, I did not have the time to learn it properly. Ruturning serves and fast loops were much harder than with Diabolic and other slow antis.

How does the gorilla/grizzly compare to power attack?

Is the reversal of power attack similar to mega-block at all? If you do one of those back spin hits, twiddle your paddle, then "catch" the ball with power attack... does it spin on the rubber top or does it just bounce off?

Like in that video?

Power Attack has less spin reversal than Mega Block but more than Gorilla. It is however a lot faster than Bison and of course than Mega Block. On low impact it is quite controlled, more than Gorilla but still faster than Bison. On high impact it can be very fast, almost like a normal but thin rubber. Gorilla holds the ball a very short time and that is why it gives such strange arcs and appears like it has a lot of spin reversal. But on passive blocks it can’t really be compared to antis like Bison, Transformer and similar.

How is the power attack against top spin balls? Can you attack those as you might with grippy long pips? Seeing if it might be usable for a he zhuojia style game

Those attacks are difficult. PA has very little grip, only a tad more than frictionless anti. Django or Anti speed would probably be easier for more attacking agsinst top spin. But I haven’t tried them myself.
