"The first classic Anti-Spin rubber with disruptive effect"

I am getting confused with so many new antis :)

Any review/comparison with Bison, Buffalo, Rhino, Mega Block?

The term "disruptive effect" does get confusing... what do they actually mean, and how do they measure it?

Hi Vladojica,

i have just received a sheet of Django 1.5mm today, i have placed it on the Matador Texa blade with a Goliath Speed 2 (i will do a review page for that)

I will be testing in the following week and will compare to the other Antis in the Neubauer range including Bison, Rhino, Power Attack and others, also since its a classic style Anti (with a little grip) i will compare to good old classic anti Butterfly Super Anti and 804.

Out of the packet I'm very impressed, it comes with the usual great quality from Neubauer, a very unusual top sheet, very dull no shine or reflection at all, with a strange feel, its semi grippy. (i have photos of it on my Facebook page Dark Arts table tennis, haven't transferred them over to my laptop to upload on here yet)

I had a very quick go, reminded me of something similar to 804 however with disruptive wobble you get from the Drs Antis, using a Spin ball (two different colours so you can see the spin) i could see it allowed same spin return! (spin reversal) on passive blocking, obviously not as great as the frictionless ones but it would still be enough to cause problems, where this shines is attacking and counter attacks, i think with the right technique you would even be able to loop/counter loop, but i will experiment with this over the next week and report my findings.

overall very interesting, i will have a proper go with it through the week and compare it to the Drs other antis.

Dark Arts TT

When I read the description of Django I thought it sounds identical to Tibhar Ellen which I am currently using. They both have a bit of surface friction which is somewhat unusual for anti-spin rubbers.

I ended up ordering a sheet of Django in black 1.5. It’s actually a very dark grey with a dull matt looking surface. However the surface feels really smooth, as if it has been very finely sandpapered. My first thought was that it looked like a sheet of rubber taken from a bald old car tyre! After a short practice I was feeling positive about it. Blocks, chops and drives were secure and nicely controlled. Very insensitive to incoming spin. Has perhaps a touch more speed than my current anti but I’m not sure yet if it has more or less grip. I need to spend a lot more time with it, but at this point it does seem to be a good match for my game style.

Bringing up this older thread. Is anybody here still playing with Django and share some more experiences with it?

....... been using Gigant for quite a while with good results, however, when playing against high skilled players I needed good attacking and counter attacking, which Gigant cannot offer at all,....

I will be testing Django in 1.5 to improve in the attacking / counterattacking department since I came to realise it is mandatory to attack when thay pass the ball after the pip play,.... or to avoid adjustments to the pip game ,.....
