I have only tried original. But under Bison there is a ABS-sponge. It feels harder and not stretchable.

I switched back to using mega-block during the last training session (had been using LP joola badman reloaded) -- and my results were better overall! It seems the ease of use when playing with MB, putting more balls on the table and being able to attack backspin easier suited my game more so than the LP blocking. In addition to that, it helped setup the forehand with greater frequency. So rather than passively block over and over, I pivoted around and looped heavily with the forehand for many winners. The club members were commenting how they'd never seen me play better.

So for me, I think in the end using the anti for blocking and attacking backspin is still worth the disadvantages it presents. Which, I suppose is what a number of others found -- that being, you can't rely on the anti blocking to be your real point winners, but instead use it for change ups in spin/speed and for forehand setups. And for those purposes, I don't think the LP was as effective for me. Plus, I was chopping very well off the table with the anti. Low, skimming shots over the net and deep on the table. I like how FLanti can essentially ignore the incoming spin, and all you've got to do is focus on the height/speed of the ball. They're not being buried with back spin, however they have to either loop these balls up (in which case I can run in and block them back with the anti) or do more of a passive/weak top spin shot that I can attack with my forehand. Or if they chop them back, then I can attack that with the anti as well. It felt to be a good meshing all around.

so, a friend of mine pointed me to this balls:

Butterfly A40+

https://shop.butterflyonline.com/bty-3-star-ball-a40

"The new plastic Butterfly 3-Star Ball is the official ball of the 2018 World Table Tennis Championships in Halmstad, Sweden.
Manufactured under strict quality control, this ball achieves high uniformity, stable rotation, speed and balance."

this will be the officiall balls of the 2018 WTTC...
the word is that they are spinning more than the previous versions...

has anyone had a chance to test them or heard anything about them already?

YOU NEED FAST LEGS. AND FAST MUSCLES ...rather than fast rubber.

The ball is now travelling (horisontal speed) at frensy speed.

The pace of rallie is very high, you need fast hand and fast legs. Senior players with slack musculature are totally lost.
