My game definitely needs work but I'm slowly getting used to the anti.

A long journey with this Anti is starting to pay off, I am very encouraged. Thanks to everyone posting frictionless anti spin videos!

I'm playing my second tournament with Sabotage 2.0mm sponge.

I feel like I'm understanding the Frictionless Anti game better and am becoming more of a BH Anti chopper and more of a FH spinner than hitter. I am developing a BH inverted slow loop and an Anti sideways sliding FH attack, both are consistent against familiar opponents.

This tournament is to continue to develop this style;

if I win I do

if I lose, I've lost before.

Pretty good results in my second tournament using the Sabotage Anti rubber. My record was 4-2. I played pretty well but I have much more work to do. (My rating must be correct, entered the tournament at 1796, rated after the tournament, 1796).

I did notice that when I missed, the ball usually went long.

So instead of trying a different Anti, I switched to the DEF/ALL version with the thinnest sponge .5mm

It is a little slower but much easier to attack underspin and dead balls, with much more spin reversal than the 2.0mm ALL/OFF version.

Now I have to relearn chopping with this slower version and lighten my grip on all balls played with the Anti.

I have another tournament at the end of February.

I think I'm one of maybe ten players in the USA that plays with glanti versus the older antispin rubbers.

I wonder how many players in the USA are playing with glanti; there are hundreds of long pip players...

I’ve been playing with Sabotage for while now. Maybe 6 months or a little more. I think it’s 1.7mm. I also was using Scandal. I think that Sabotage is a little more versatile. I’m using it in a Nittaku Ludeak Power with H3 Orange Sponge Neo. I feel I can do just about anything with the Sabotage. I do have the same issue where the ball seems to always go long. Whether it is a push or a block I have more trouble keeping the ball low. But saying that my best results lately have been with this combination. I just added 90+ points to my rating.

What I have found is that on most shots it’s important to make solid contact. Just letting the ball hit the racket isn’t as effective. I have been using my robot to practice countering topspin and moving the racket forward into the top sheet and then the sponge is the best way to get a consistent return. Also keeping the racket up above the table between returns and hitting mostly where I want the bal to go works best.

I had a training session today and while chopping was able to get some decent spin. Enough that after a couple of chops my practice partner had trouble lifting the next shot. This is important because I can then play at different distances from the table if I need to.

I have been having a hard time deciding on a consistent setup. This is the closest I have come to feeling I may have found it.

I had my best tournament to date with the Sabotage rubber! My record was 6-2, though there is much work to be done before my next tournament March 23rd.

Last night I tried 1.5 mm Sabotage on a Matador Texa. Great combination! Blocks had more back spin than this rubber generates on any other blade I have tried. And they were low, and this is the key. Spin is not the most important thing as long as blocks and strokes are kept low. I will try this kombination more now that my league sesson is over.
