I have been testing the faster and harder Vortex 2 (compared to Vortex) for one real training session (and before that one half session). It feels very promising! First I tried it with a green sponge, kind of fast, in 1.5 mm. Then with a yellow soft sponge 1.0 mm, slower. I also tried it with the supersoft red sponge, in 0.8 mm and in 1.2 mm.

The yellow gives control and odd flighjt curves, short blocks and good back spin. The red thin gives low arc, more speed, lots of back spin on blocks and good aggressive push, but it also bottons out a little too easy. The thicker red is just very slow and mushy, not for me.
The green one is more dense, it seems to have a few gears, so it has more speed when more force is used, but it is still rather controlled in blocks, with a very low throw angle and very good back spin in blocks.

For now I will go with the green sponge, it has better potential for a more diverse game.

Here is a short clip from just testing blocking (all these clips are with the blade TSP Balsa 2.5 def Fitter):

Another one, this time with Vortex 1 with only three thin cloths instead of a real sponge.

And here is a whole match with green sponge:

I have one with brown 2mm sponge (a bit slower than green sponge but faster than yellow sponge) that I haven't glued yet. Don't know if I will glue it anytime soon since I'm very happy with Super Glanti right now. Also it seems to have a little bit more grip than Super Glanti.

Tested it today on a defensive blade associated with a brown sponge (a bit slower than the green sponge). Control is good, it seems to have great attacking possibilites after the service (sideswipe like Mladenovic) with a good control. Spin reversal isn't good as Super Glanti. I'll investigate more later...
