Dr. Neubauer Matador Texa.

A blade I'm really interested in trying out for frictionless anti. Any experiences you have about it are welcome!

Spin reversal, control, stiffness, hardness, attacking capabilities (topspin, smash, etc).

Thanks.

Blade: Stiga Cybershape Carbon
FH: Butterfly Tenergy 19 2.1
BH: Dr Neubauer ABS3 1.5
I don't have any experience with the Matador Texa, but I did use the regular Matador for a while with antispin. It was a good blade to use with the anti, so I imagine the Texa would likely also be good. Thought it gave good offensive possibilities on the forehand, while still being controllable and giving good reversal with the anti. Eventually I went to something more stiff (Der Materialspezialist Deluxe Carbon) and then Stiga Cybershape Carbon, the reversal was even better.

Really? Cybershape Carbon is also a blade I might want to try out! Ever tried Dr. Neubauer ABS 3? Also about the blade, can you make good spin with your forehand?

Combined with Tenergy 19, I get a TON of spin. And my forehand hits have improved.

ABS3 is very good for control. Very slow. I eventually went away from anti completely because I had better results with long pips and the versatility they offer.

If you're looking for something very slow, not too difficult to control with a little reversal, ABS 3 would be an excellent choice. If you want more spin reversal (sacrificing a bit of control) I'd recommend DMS Scandal or Storkraft.

Thank you for replying! I might try out the Carbon Cybershape in the future. I'm also looking for a long pimple rubber, so interested in the searching's results.

What I've found, on both forehand and backhand, to make the Cybershape Carbon most effective and controllable is to find rubbers that have a significant amount of grip. On the backhand, the Hellfire X has a lot of grip and can generate a lot of back spin, while still being controllable. I tested out a number of long pips and it was easily the most effective on that blade. With a soft hand and holding the blade steady, I can even drop blocks of loops short.

I see. Sounds good, but I think I might just stick to anti, but in the future might try to flanti, too. I just feel that anti is my style of play, pimples not really. For that, I will need the Cybershape Carbon.

Thanks for all the tips nevertheless.
