Hello everyone! I need your advice!

ABS 2 Pro vs ABS 3?

I'm will start playing with flanti a few months from now after getting some technique with grippy anti. I would like to get some information about how the two works. I've read as much as I could and learnt a lot of new information, but a detailed comparison I haven't seen.

I would like to know for each about the speed, control, attacking capabilities, chopping capabilities, blocking capabilities, throw angle, durability, spin reversal, disruptive effects and pretty much anything else comes to your mind and consider worthy of sharing.
As for my style, I attack (hit), block, place, chop, chopblock, sideswipe, lift and push with my anti, so I do pretty much everything I can with an anti. I'd need something suitable for all of these, or at least the most. I want to be as disruptive as I can be, too, if possible.

I'm planning on use it on a Cybershape Carbon. Would it be a good combination?

Thanks for the help!

Thanks!

Based on what you have written, it seems to me that the ABS 2 Evo, which is usually considered as the same as the Pro with a little more speed, has a little better reversal and attacking capabilities. Also a lower throw.

I'm thinking about getting the Pro. If you have anything else to add, please, do so!

Thanks.

Sounds good, just be aware that ABS 3 is much slower and with more control, mainly due to the super slow sponge.

Thank you for the tips!

Has the ABS 3 higher reversal and disruption than the ABS 2 Evo / Pro? This is something I couldn't find out. ABS 3 has higher control that is for sure and this is something I'm interested in, but is it disruptive enough?

I used to play Abs 3 a lot. For me it gives opportunities to play with the depth off the table. Placing balls short and to the sides. You get the occasional 'free' heavy revearsal point, but that's not its main strength

I see, so not the best reversal. I'm still thinking heavily which one should I go with for my Cybershape Carbon. Thanks for the information!

I think you should not only focus on revearsal when playing flanti. Focus on game plan and disrupting the opponent with revearsal, placement and tempo.

Start playing one with lots of control. That way you see if the anti game works for you. It's not an easy way to play TT ...

The anti definitely works for me, the grippy one at least. However, I believe the flanti could be just as fine as the grippy one, but I want the choose the best possible. I might start with the ABS 3 and once got a safe base I could start using the ABS 2 Pro. Yes, this is what I'm going to do. Thanks for the tip!

Thanks!
