I acknowledge that most everything has "learning curve," so has anyone actually spent enough time with this rubber to know if really really is the "answer to a maiden's prayer, the answer to world hunger and the second coming of Super Block?":)

i have it right infront of me but onl will be able to play with it sometime next week.

its very dark red, the sponge is pinkisch/orange (weird colour) and the rubber seems harder...but when playing against a wall it feels softer..its definitely a lot slower than the neubauer anti special.

I would like to hear you report too AA . I like the way you used your old backhand rubber (swingback) in defence and attack.
So please do a vid as well lol. I can't afford to buy it at the moment

A few more vids of you training AA would be really good.

Got the ABS and the Kung Fu in today. Hit against the robot for a bit. Very slow. Angles are quit a bit different than D.Tec$, which I'm used to. About the same spin reversal as NAS. King Fu is a normal sized blade, not fast, not slow.

had my first training with the abs!

it offers more control than the previous neubauer antis, is much slower and it was easier to block topspins, the angle of the bat still was crucial, but not as dependent as with the other neubauer antis. the spinreversal probably was similar to the neuubauer anti special, most of the time neither me or my trainingpartner had the faintest clue how much spin was in the blocks, very difficult to anticipate! the great thing however was the fact that the blocks really came short, similar to the swing back. the main problem however was attacking chopped balls with loads of spin, thats something i need to work at.

im very happy with this first training and will try playing against other plaers before i reach my final verdict on this rubber.

but remember: as with all antis, you need to change your style, it simply is not a long pimpled rubber and is more difficult to handle.

Nice pics MNNB! That edge tape looks huge, how thick is it?

Thanks for the mini-review AA! I know what you mean, it always takes quite an adjustment from pips to Anti, more than from LPs to LPs. I've tried anough of them to decide they're not really for me...I always seem to have trouble controlling certain balls, which I can keep lower with most LPs... perhaps I've not given myself enough time to adjust though...

That's the official Dr. Neubauer edge tape. Those balsa blades they sell are pretty fragile so I guess they take extra precautions. The Kung Fu blade isn't balsa, by the way.

MNNB, Is there much difference between the Kung Fu and the Gladiator. They look very similar, was wondering whether you can feel a difference when playing.

I've never tried the Gladiator. The Kung Fu is supposed to be "a bit softer and offers a slightly better control" than Gladiator. BTW, I've already pulled the ABS off and put it on a Grubba Carbon.

I also think the ABS works a lot better on the forehand. You can block with it (the blade has to be closed, similar to an inverted block), it chops well, it handles no-spin pretty well, and it's good for attacking underspin.

I've also started to use A-B-S, seems to be much more controllable than Gorilla and Grizzly. But how do you attack underspin? Just by fast lifting?
