I have seen a lot of good reviews about this new Neubauer anti

Is this just the typical hype associated with all of his products?

I've almost only heard bad things about it. I know the first version released was way to fast to be used by any one that don't spend 5 days a week practising with it. A new version was released, with a slower sponge and this was supposedly good, but nothing out of the ordinary.

I think you might be thinking about the Gorilla, to my knowledge the Grizzly has only one sponge type.

It has a very soft soft sponge. I thought it was too fast and bouncey, the toni hold is perhaps the slowest amongst the anti

I might want to add that I'm looking for a away from the table chopping rubber

I have never viewed anti spin rubber to be a effective away from the table chopping choice, but the Grizzly claims to be one of the better chopping alternatives for frictionless pips.

Thanks for the informative reply, I really appreciate it.

I gave it a pretty thorough evaluation when it first came out. It's the same as Gorilla, only with a Pistol sponge. Quite fast. Not good for chopping at all compared to long pips.

I used (frictionless long pips) for chopping speedplay. You get quite a lot of chop as its spin continuation and gave me a difference to my anti on the other side. It restricts how much you can vary your chop to some extent but its heavy, so if a slick anti allows spin continuation you may be able to chop o.k with it.

Tend to agree you with that antis aren't as slick as these FLP's were and so you are not likely to be able to chop as hard with them. I've tried new tioni hold which is a pretty slick anti and its nothing like lp's for chopping Pious.

Antis give you great control and the ability to vary spin and float (although can't chop as hard as you can with long pips). If you can chop, float and hit with it, you can get up to a decent standard with it, you have to be consistent and you have to make the variations in spin with your technique.

Thanks to everyone for the helpful posts...I am going to pick up some Grass D Tecs instead.
