Since I'm no expert on these rubbers, I was wondering if one of you guys would like to take a stab at generating a review proforma for Antispin rubbers? It basically needs to identify the more important properties of antispin rubbers, which I'm sure would be different to that of inverted or long pips, although probably more closely related to long pips.

I think a lot can be based on the Inverted or Long pips proformas, so you won't have to start from scratch...

So speedplay had the following
Grip : Topsheet
Grip: With sponge
Speed
Spin generation
Reaction to spin
Reversal
Deception
Style suitability

I tend to look at it for shots so rate it for push, block, hit, chop

so could discuss the above points within the confines of the type of shot used??

I always find it useful if it has been compard to another rubber so I can get a feel for how the reviewer is arriving at their findings.

You'd the general rubber information at the top too, colour thickness, blade used

Any other ideas?

You raise a very good point antipip, about reviewing a rubber for shots rather than characteristics. I also think that's highly valuable, and will take another look at the LP proforma to impliment that as well. It's highly valuable to know how a rubber performs at certain shots...
