Dear mynamenotbob and forum's friends.

Now I am using RITC 802 40 sponge 0.6 (FH) and Dr Neubauer Boomerang Classic (BH). I'd read a lot about Dr Neubauer A-B-S. I intend to replace my boomerang classic with this A-B-S. Is it suitable for my Yasaka Malin?

My style : PH Twiddle and all round player. I chop, push and lifting with my Boomerang Classic, Loop, spin and smash with my 802 40.

Hi Abijae,

A-B-S is mainly a blocking rubber to be used close to the table. It may work for you, but you certainly would have to make changes to your technique.

Hi mynamenotbob,

I can not get what do you mean by "you certainly would have to make changes to your technique." I'd try to find video showing PH playing ABS but cannot find it. Hope you don't mind for giving me more advice.

I don't think penhold vs shakehand is much of an issue. What I think notbob is getting at and I agree with is that at-the-table vs back-from-the-table is very important. If you back up more than a step or two from the table very often to 'chop' then abs probably wont be a good rubber for you.

Slick anti(I'm using AS, ABS should be the same) is also next to impossible to hit a normal 'push' stroke with. You have to either lift-drive or punch forward and maybe even a little upward.

Thank you dear bcbcbc and mynamenotbob,

I'd ordered A-B-S (Euro 46 + Euro 3 for shipping) from drneubauer.com. and may be receive it next week.

I now confused either to put it on my Yasaka Malin Soft Carbon or on my fire hand blade.
Both are OFF+ blade.

The general rule of thumb is you want a hard, stiff blade for antispin rubbers. Dr. N. recommends the "Kung Fu" blade for A-B-S, which is slightly softer than his other all-wood "Gladiator" blade. To me, the Ma Lin Soft Carbon blade sounds like a better match than the Firehand. Good luck!

Received the A-B-S and I'd use it on BH for Dawei Carbon blade (Hand Shake).
Found that it is not easy to play with A-B-S compare to Boomerang.
Need a lot of training. :( :( :(
