Posting my second video here (I am in black n white). I have improved since the last one i think and have finally begun to loop on both sides. I am getting to play only once a week (and that too in the league.. so no practice) so the movement is not good. Trying to flip and loop more - especially on bh.

Any thoughts for improvement?

Buying equipment is like getting into a relationship. One night stands are great but you get the most out of it when you work at it for a long time.

So - initial comments..

1) You should look to vary your serves more, I didn't see a whole lot of change of placement. If you keep the same serve going the whole time, even someone who struggles with it will learn it eventually.
2) Passive backhand - you did mention you were working on looping from both sides, it is very important to get your feet moving to balls on your wide backhand - wayy easier to just stick your bat out and push a return, but with weak balls to your backhand, you could move quicker and loop - with control, doesn't need to be kreangaesque.
3) Some nice control with your forehand loops and blocks.
4) Service receive was a touch passive for my liking, particularly as your opponent didn't do a lot different - as the game goes on, you can naturally adjust and go for a bit more positivity with your returns.

Fastest way to improve is to play/train more. Once a week is just not enough in my opinion.
I think that even playing 2 times a week is more or less just to help "maintain" your current level. 3 times+ can allow you to improve :)

I'm a novice tt player, but have played a LOT of higher level tennis. I hope I develop your skill at table tennis in time. I guess my only advice would be that I was surprised you didn't attack the guy's forehand more (in the second vid). It was clearly his weaker side and he nailed a few good bh smashes at you.

I took this seriously and practiced my serve return a lot especially a much more active and ready stance.
Also, have been practicing fh loop so tried to bring that into the game. Following are the improvements..
This is a practice match so I only served underspin with variations in the amount of spin. Have a look!
