I will be in Seoul today and considering visiting a club I never went to before. One of these days, I promised i would go to Yong-In TTC, home club of all those LP vids Not Bob has been posting in his thread.

Of course, there will be the mandatory pics, blog entry, and vid or two and interview with the club owner and maker of all those vids.

I am sure they will be surprised they are so famous in the Land Down Under...

More to follow.

Already posted teh pics to FB. I arrived there at 6 PM. Owner said they wind down at 6:30.

I had only a chance for a few pics and a few quick matches. Went 1-1 vs a div2 C-Pen dude, 1-0 vs a div 3 dude and lost to a women at 9-9 with the wackiest spastic SH BH hit from everywhere, simply the MIME of TT, I spotted her 4 points and she seemed to have a contract with both net and edges.

Owner was suprised to see that through Not-Bob, his club's training vids were famous throughout USA, Austrailia, and Germany with the technology of youtube and specialty TT forums.

Yong-In is only a little south of seoul, like 35 KM or so, but it takes a long time to get tehre from where I live.

That's cool. Thanks for going over there. They haven't posted any YouTube vids for awhile. Maybe you'll inspire them to keep their worldwide online presence active.

He has a lot of room in his club and a good tripod in his training area.

Too bad they closed so early. What kind of TT club closes at 6:30PM?

That is his weekend closing hours.

Here is his website. (In Korean)

He runs the place by himself. Most Korean clubs hire a second coach. The owner trainer opens and closes the place by himself.

Here are his normal hours, but on weekends, he wants everyone to wind it down a little early so he can have a break and a life. His place stayd open to almost 8 PM the night a visited, which he said it was a record late. Likely, that club being hospitable to me.

His website says to start packing it up at 6:30.

요 일
OPEN
CLOSE

평 일 (Normal Weekdays)
AM 10:00
PM 11:00

토요일 (Saturday)
AM 12:00
PM 07:00

일요일 (Sunday)
AM 11:00
PM 06:00

공휴일 (Holidays)
AM 13:00
PM 06:00

Since My Yoo D K runs this club by himself, he needs to spend at least an hour or two at home every day. He practically lives in his club and coaches every day. LP lessons, like any other lessons cost about $140 USD for 3 X 20 minutes a week.

I took a look at Coach Yoo's bat. It was OFF blade with inverted FH (Tenergy I think it was) and Feint OX.

Dude's youtube channel is proacdang1

I have to work a little south of my home area forr a spell and might be visiting Yong-In again soon. This time, i should have some vids.

I also promised a friend over at German LP forum Pimp My Blade to visit a Pyoung-Taek club, 'cause dude used to play there when he visited his subsidary company in Korea.

It is fun to visit new clubs and just as fun to post and share the fun.

I go back to States in under a year and unless I get in very good TT hotspot, I am going to be screwed for TT action like I get here in Korea.

So that's $140.00 per hour? no wonder he enjoys himself lol

The $140 a month includes free use of the club for matches or training, and lessons with coach 3 times a week for 20 minutes each. Normal club membership without lessons in a Korean club is $60 or $70 USD, so the 4 hours of lessons cost $70-$80, which is around $20 USD an hour, a veritable bargain compared to USA where a similar coach would be getting $50 USD an hour minimum. Korean coaches/owners of clubs work almost like slaves tied to the club. Easily coach 12 hours a day and it can wear them out pretty good.

Went to Pyungtaek TTC about 40 km from Yong-In club and played vs the owner, a Div 2 national level player who has won a few national opens in Div 2.

I lost 1-3 vs him last time and this time, lost 0-3. He would be a Div 0 or div MINUS 1 player in my region, so I would normally get spotted 3-4 points. I lost -8, -9, -9, so I did a little better than I should have vs him. No one can really read the direction of his attacks, he doesn't miss a lot, and his placement is real good. He didn't give me a lot to attack.
