Not sure if this has been posted before, but I found this very entertaining. Unusual to see pushing ralleys at this level!

I enjoyed watching that :) Panagiotis clearly wasn't comfortable playing against a similar style to his own.

Interesting to see that generally whichever player chose to attack won the point. I suppose you could argue that defenders are the best attackers against defence because they truly understand a defensive player's weakness - the quick third ball attack, the in and out strategies, etc.

Yes I noticed that too. It was a little strange seeing weixing attacking so much!

Yes, and he twiddled often, used LP on fh.
Normally he just fishes.
I really like Chen's service return with pimples.
As he shown Bogeyhunter on hies video.

Are both these guys playing with Tenergy 64 on FH?

Cheers
Geddk

The most experienced one won. It's not that strange that the one who attacks, wins the point. The amount of spin in the game is less due to the pips and therefore the first attack in general is stronger, making a good return more difficult and making the second attack even more powerful, in some cases an outright winner.

I don't know if one of these guys uses T64 on the FH. I'm almost certain Chen doesn't. Gionis uses a Tenergy, but I'm not certain which one.

Great match! Highly entertaining! Chen usually plays very different when he faces defenders. Agasint Joo he tries all different kinds of tricks since he knows he can't beat him by attacking and Joo is better at attacking against defence than Chen is. Gionis has not been good against defence as far as I know, but I thik he played very well. It could as easily have gone the other way I think.

The match between joo and chen in 2006 was fake because chen had an hip injury, so you can't comment about that... and their last one in euro asia was unserious because it didn't matter anymore... so i think it's difficult to judge that matchup... i guess the outcome could have been very different in these last 10 years depending on "when" they faced...

About this match it was very beautifull to watch... and i'd say this went much better for Gionis than the last time! ;)

Back then chen was way more in better shape (even if not at his best anymore) and Gionis far worse than he is now

Also, beautifull match between Gionis and Habesohn
