Post subject:  Not sure where to post your video? READ THIS

We've organised this section into categories, to make things a lot easier to find. When you post your video, it would help if you post in the right category. Below is a brief description of what videos belong where. If you're not sure, please post in general and it will be moved if required. If you find a video that is clearly out of place, please notify a mod or post in the thread. so that it can be moved.

Pimples / Antispin Videos
Any videos highlighting the pimple/anti style or rubber should be posted here. This includes techniques specific to these rubbers, or videos of players that demonstrate the technique/style of these rubbers.

Coaching / Techniques / Instructional
All other technique videos (that don't below in the category above) should be posted here. This includes matches that highlight a particular style/technique or a player that demonstrates a certain style/technique.
Also instructional video such as gluing rubbers, maintaining equipment, etc should go here.

Matches / Tournaments
All other matches, tournament or competition videos should go here.

Forum Member Videos
All videos of forum members (members here or from other TT forums, or those from your own club or friends should go here. Specifically videos of yourself, asking for advice should go here.

General
All other videos should go here. If you're not sure where a video goes, it should also be posted here, and will be moved if required.

NOTE: You can now only post new topics in the subforums above.

Please feel free to post any comments or proposals improvements in this thread...

How do we post a video and what is the easiest and quickest way. Some files are large.

Also does anyone know a good free video editing software to split and cut videos?

It's best to upload them to youtube or one of the other video sites, and then post the link here. To embed them, see this thread:

We also have some threads on video editing software and uploading, here is one:

I have many video's from ittf full matches.
Am I allowed to upload them to youtube and post here or is this not allowed due to copyrights?

While I certainly would not endorse anyone breaking copyright rules, I don't know what the story is with older ITTF videos, you might have to ask them.
If you're just posting them for the benefit of everyone, and don't profit from the videos (no ads), then I think it's unlikely you'll get into much trouble, because you're just helping in promoting the sport for no personal benefit. I expect the worst that could happen is probably getting your youtube channel banned (which has happened to a few people that I know off, but they have have had ads for $$$ in their videos).

It would probably pay to check to see if the official ITTF match is not already available though, and if it is, post that one instead, so that the ITTF does not lose revenue over that video. If they have not uploaded it though, they can't lose any revenue from your post, so they probably don't think it's valuable, so I doubt you'd get into trouble.

There is no problems posting any youtube videos (or others) here in the forum, it's not for us to know or decide if copyright has been violated, but we would of course remove it if we were made aware that it did infringe on copyright rules.
