I just ordered from the shop!
A Re-Impact Hydra (which I beleive to be slowest of all re impact range), weighs 50g and asked for lightest one.
Also 2 giant dragon giant long soft version :) :) :)

I haven't decided yet for inverted side

Yowza, that's light! 50g blade + OX LP + inverted.. will the completed bat exceed 110g? I thought my 145g bats were crazy light but they're tanks compared to the one you're building.

Yeah I know... LawOCG thinks I am nuts :headbang: buying something so light, he reckons it a OOAK type of blade and that if I get used to it, I cant find a replacement later on.

I think after I have finished prepping it for play it will weigh a little more.
Prepping it by superglueing the edges and varnishing/sealing the blade, so it should weigh 5-8g more.

I have an OX LP bat right now that's 141g that I want to be 150g. When a bat is too light for me I find that the biggest problem is getting my FH stroke to groove properly. It's like it needs some drag/resistance to swing right, and 150g is about the minimum that works, at least for me. Of course, my hardbat weighs only 124g but that's a different FH stroke altogether.

I have plans to assault the local golf supply store tomorrow for some of that lead tape golfers use to weight their club heads. I reckon 1/4" burglar alarm tape -- the kind you used to see surrounding shop windows -- would also do the trick.. assuming I could still find some.

You can also find lead tapes from tennis pro shops, they use the lead tapes to add some weight for balances. My son used to add lead tapes to his tennis racquets.

I finally opened it up, it came in with a different box(tsp) and also with a mini tt bat keyring :)

The hydra looks fantastic, and anti sides of the blade have a very different wood. The side with the hydra logo has a reddish color with some dark spots and the other side has a lighter wood color with beautiful dark grains.
0wondering what is for fh and bh?

The logo is supposed to be on the forehand. Also the cuts in the handle should be facing up. Try bouncing a ball on the different sides.

Good to hear you got it ok. The blades don't come in a box, so Luna packs them in boxes just for shipping. The keyring is not part of it  , she must have included that herself

Make sure you seal it to protect it.

Rendler blades are presealed according to Achim.

didnt read your posts beforehand and have spent the last 2 hours, super sealing the edge of the blade and sealing the face with the donic water based sealer,
:) :P

It did have some varnish on it, but i upd it a few times more.
Its still quite light, but it is not symetric. My thoughts was its quite uneven and should i fix it up?
Left it though and will try it as soon as i get some sun on my pimples ;) i will try it with the giant long soft in 2 weeks or so...

What fh do you recommend while i wait.... For a modern defender.

Im thinking to go a little softer sponge with what i have now with the 450 with max sponge.

Tensors will probably go well, but I would not recommend max. I think 2.0mm or probably even less will work much better, and will give you a lot more feel of the ball.

I would probably recommend, if possible, that you don't change anything and feel the difference between your previous blade and the new one.

Of course, that is only my opinion...changing stuff is fun.

I think Ive read somewhere that the reimpact blades, suit a non- max rubber, and advises a better result with 2mm and under... ?
Umm, yeah, ill try a 2mm, but a 1.8mm will be too slow if Im back of the table.
I am happy with the performance of ROXON, so ill stick with it, and prolly go a degree softer as it's the popular one. I tried mcdonalds tenergy 05 prov, last night and hated it.
