I believe the Speed 90 is faster, but I'll have a closer look when I get a chance to see if I can feel the difference.

I'm so slack!

Ok I've compared them side by side by bouncing a ball on them. Although the feel is similar, the speed 90 is definitely a notch faster, and also has a softer feel. As I said the difference is not big, but definitely noticeble when you have them side by side.

I don't have a wavestone handy to compare, so I'm going by memory here

Feel of the Point Carbon is definitely softer, and it also has a bit more flex. At low impact the point carbon would be slower, but at high impact you can feel the kick of the blade, where it would likely be similar speed, possibly a little faster.

I'm not sure there is actually carbon in there as I can't see it from the edge, as you can read from my description. Teplan suggested it may refer to carbon in the handle, so this might be the case...

I might try and have a hit with the 7p2acarbon later tonight, if I have time.

I had a 7p2a ages ago so I know how those play.

Aah there it is. Left to right: 7p2a, rutis C unmodified, 7p2a-c, acoustic FL cutdown + handle curve shaved.

Not actually a problem, but note the teardrop shape.
