We got a few new TSP blades in the shop, and this one in particular got my attention... partially because the characteristics feeling nothing like what's in the description from TSP, but also because I can see that this blade could be particularly useful for defensive players.

Personally I think they look fantastic, but of course that's just personal taste.
First thing I noticed was how light these blades are... they are all below 70g! This is far lighter than the 80g indicated in the description from TSP.
I assume the outer layer is Samba, as it certainly wasn't Limba which was also written on the blade face. The outer layer has an unusual grey colour... can someone confirm this is indeed Samba?
Why I think this blade can be particularly useful for defensive players is that it has a really low catapult at low impact... the ball bounces really low and few times! I don't know if this is a property of Samba, as I've not seen it used on many blades, but if it is it could be very good for defensive type blades.
When you bounce harder, it has some kick, where I assume the effect of the Limba and carbon comes in. Still it's not that fast, probable like OFF- no more. The blade still has a little flex, even though the carbon would normally make it more rigid.
Anyway, it's quite unusual to find a blade that's very different from the manufacturer description, and they may have accidentally created a novel and carbon defensive blade, which I thought was quite interesting.
