Post subject:  plastic ball

summary of the change from celluloid ball to plastic. sadly the 38 mil cell ball is relegated to the history bin. by far the spinniest ,quickest and probably more durable. this ball lends itself more to the older rubbers ,such as mark v,or sriver d13 L,with speed glue.the modern tuned rubbers are not so responsive with it. the forty mil cell ball plays better with the modern tuned rubbers, paradoxically it doesnt bounce as much as the prototype plastic ball though ?. the school of thought with the plastic ball is that it is easier to hit yet doesnt take top spin as good. strangely staying lower over the net. when the plastic ball is rolled out it has to be across the board , from domestic to national and international, though not the finished article with possibly some fine tuning?,if this new ball being seamless the it should be more durable?, lets hope so ,some players think that we may have to introduce expedite for attackers with this ball, anyway to conclude for now the manufacturers will be formating new rubbers to compliment the new sphere. okay if your sponsered? yours mortimer.
