Shipping via sea is certainly slow... last time we did this to somewhere in Europe I think the time was about a month... perhaps the Christmas period is making this even worse :cry:

usually its packed in the huge containers and is spent a long time in transit. Im scared that it might be damp and moisture will get in. when it arrives its placed in quarrantine and left alone for about a week in the hot dry sun, when the doors open to be unloaded the smell inside is gut wrenching.

It's not that bad... we get a lot of our shipments via sea, and there's rarely any problems... Still the wait is very annoying I know... lucky speedplay is well know for his infinite patience... :twisted: :wink:

Although sea seems to typically take a month to get to most european destinations... australia post recommend that you post early October if you want your parcels to get there before Christmas :evil: Of course this is only a guide, but it sounds like Christmas is a particularly busy time...

Yes, sorry to hear you seem to be one of the unlucky ones with a real slow delivery this time :(

I don't feel it's time to worry it's got lost though... the mere fact that 'Australia post recommend that you post early October if you want your parcels to get there before Christmas', indicates that these types of delays can certainly happen over the Christmas period...

I don't know how many others have taken this long, since most people don't tell me when they get it, and we don't send that many parcel via sea. I can't really blame you for choosing the 'sea' option though... the cost of 'air' is equivalent to several rubbers!
