A great idea guys... I guess part of the reason I done it is that I don't play pengrip, and I'm not as confident suggesting combos that I cannot try myself...

Still I'll give it some thought... and if any of you would like to suggest something that we can perhaps discuss here, that would be most welcome.

Well I'm usually pretty good at thinking up combos for people to try for penhold. There are some other dedicated EJ penholders here on the website too. We could all chip in our bit of advice on stuff.

Well I suppose I ought to get started on thinking about some combos. Should I only consider the penhold stuff that you have listed on your website as of right now, plus those few new Kokutaku blades? I might needa know about the characteristics of some of those blades, especially that Dawei Jpen.

I really can't feel huge differences between them (jpens)... they are all thick and a little stiff with a soft bounchy feel. Feel is a little different accross them, some are faster than other, but I'd put them in the same general catagories, so rubber suitability is likely to be similar too.

After quickly looking through some descriptions and reviews, I only need to know about the feeling of the Galaxy K2, Galaxy 989, and the one ply pine blade. Are they rigid or flexible? Soft feeling or hard? I'll probably have some fun making setups for that twiddler. :P

I already had one idea for a setup from the stuff there. I think that Globe 999 Nat feels really nice on hinoki, so that paired with the new one ply hinoki blade would be a good start. I'll think up some more stuff later.

The 1-ply pine feels just like the 1-ply hinoki... others I have not even checked out myslef, but will have a look tonight...

Now I'm wondering if this is because the Pine is a good substitute for Hinoki, or if the Hinoki is of lower quality to match the pine.

Hello,

I don't know if anybody has mentioned this before but I'd really like to be able to search the One of a Kind Trading Shop by searching the blades in relation to speed, control, weight, centre of gravity, and price. I'd also like to do the same thing with rubbers by being able to rank the rubbers in relation to speed, spin, control, weight , topsheet surface etc. Perhaps even being able to discard any products that fall below certain criteria.

I know marketing, preferences, subjectiveness comes into it but I have no idea about where to start with blades when I know very little about non-european products.

Thanks
