No it's not made in red... the dark blue sponge would show through the red topsheet, making it illegal.

Haggisv,

if there is some rubber/blade I like which isn't available on your site, is it possible to order especially? I don't mind if it means I have to wait an extra week or two.

The Galaxy TC (thin carbon) series looks pretty neat. Too bad I can't find any reviews on them.

Galaxy 3 star balls also look like good value.

I once came across some European rubber called 'Bjorn' which looked good...I assume it is named after Borg because its characteristics seem modelled on his tennis style (high topsin, very good consistency, accuracy)...not sure about the brand...

I don't think I saw that in your shop...

Bjorn is a rubber by TSP. TSP stuff, being Japanese, is always a little pricey. The TSP ACTOR which is in the same range, seemed highly regarded, and since I could not see anything that Bjorn had over actor, we decided to carry ACTOR only for now.

Yes things CAN generally be ordered in if requested, if we already carry stuff from that manufacturer and place orders regularly.

Since we order directly from the manufacturer, your order would have to be combined with our large order, and they do not send out rubbers/blades individually, only bulk.

oh I see - thanks for the info!

How about Dr Neubauer's blades?

I read someone on the forum recommending Dr N High Technology Plus and it sounds good (fast yet light weight).

Are you considering caring that brand?

No not really... they are very pricey. If you want fast and light, check out some of our Balsa blade, eg TSP Balsa 8.5 is one VERY fast blade and only weighs about 75g!

Imo the TSP 8.5 Top speed is almost a plugin replacement for the Joola Kool

Funny you should mentioned that, I just compared them and mentioned it in another thread. I agree they feel VERY similar, but the TSP feels slightly softer and the Joola marginally faster... mind you the variation in batches could easily account for this....

Yep.
The only other things worth mentioning are that the TSP has a smaller head and the blade is slightly thinner than the kool.

The softer feel of the TSP blade comes from using glassfibre, instead of the harder texalium (aluminium impregnated fabric resin thing).

Sounds like you had a closer look than I did  I was mainly interested in the speed and feel.

I used one for a few months :P

I think I reviewed it on DTTW ages ago.

Yes I remember that now, it was VERY detailed! Might be a good one to put on our review site if you don't mind? Trouble with a forum is reviews get buried so deep you can only find it by using the search function... or you could copy and paste it here in the euqipment section...

I checked out the racquet of the table tennis instructor I recently played against and he had the following setup:

Rubber: MORISTO 2000
Blade: RORIN

I don't think these are available on the online shop.
Are these worth considering?

Just my impressions from playing against him were that the rubbers had good speed and were able to initiate attack effectively, though the level of spin didn't knock my socks off - but maybe that's not his style.

How about table tennis instructional books and DVDs?
