We generally do the same thing at the clubs here in regards to balls coming into the court. We try to play though just about anything, and still we get lets between and during half the points. Especially if certain players who are more wild and less skilled than others are at a table next to you.

Think about playing in the middle of two double matches in the same environment, and they are all much bigger than me. :(
In that case, me and my partner just played serves and pushes.

Wow, that's got to be brutal. Playing next to one doubles match is difficult enough, much less between two. It's like you're the thin meat in a sandwich with two huge rolls around you.

Been there, done that, Tat. Even worse, since on of the players in the doubles was a lefty who stepped around to use his fh all the time, meaning he was more or less playing in front of the table I was supposed to play at.

Wow, I managed to fit in 3 set-ups in 3 lines so I don't take up half a page with every post I make...

Wow, I always forget to read the Tourney section and miss good threads like this one. Oh well, finally caught up with it and I have to say Doug is giving you some good advice on taking something from your losses as well as the wins. This is a game where there is a winner and a loser. Sometimes you play the winner, sometimes you play as the loser. Often has nothing to do with you, but the guy at the other end who is plainly better or worse. As you progress up the charts I think you have to accept losing more because there comes a point where you can only improve so much before plateauing. When you reach peak, there is always still going to be someone better. It takes playing their kind for a while until you find some new tricks/skills.

Funny, but I looked and looked and could not find a an old, bald, fat guy in those pics. Maybe there were some that didn't show on the screen to me? All I could see was a guy built kinda like me with a little less hair!

I almost forgot I wrote this thread.

RTTE, what you say about hair indicates a very high likelihood of you being directly related to werewolves.

I was only talking about on top of the head Der ;)

I'm not terribly hairy, but I do get into hairy TT situations at times!

I do like werewolves though! Howling!!
