We foreigners here in Korea recently made a TT club and coincidently, are the only USATT sanctioned club outside of USA. We have a regional tourney in DongDuCheon Korea this upcoming weekend and we will be out in force. We just got sponsered (by Nexy, uber cool) and we will have our team jerseys off the press before match time. Below is our webpage. 5 of our club will be on the "A" team with my local club ace Lim Gyu-Hyuk and coach dropped me down a division to lead our "B" team, who are all ringers for their division, our even a division up. Don't sweat it, every club is rolling like this and the playing field is pretty level. Sometimes you run into a ringer, sometimes you ring someone's bell, it evens out.

We also made a press pic for our sponsorship. We will be wearing the Tibhar jerseys and sporting the big red Nexy rucksacks, which I have been toting around the chopped up bodies of my enemies the last month. (Yeah, their that big, and NO, I don't carry around something like that - it would raise a stink, but you get teh idea of how much stuff I have put in that thing) A few of us will do a warm-up tourney the day prior and I'll post a bit about that later.

I am the joker taking credit for being club president on the left and the ITTF Umpire (our club treasurer and an active force) is on the right.
Of course TAK9.com/Nexy CEO is in the middle of it.

Good luck

Tell mike he needs a hair cut.

Was wondering yesterday what that club will do to usatt ratings. Talk about a regional club that won't have a lot of outside rated players in tournaments and probably not many from there traveling to other usatt tournaments. I wonder at the US open if we could have say a 1900 player from their come and win the U-2500 or above just because they don't have the opportunity to play move rated players. We have some disparity between the regions in the USA based on style and such. But after your club continues to grow what do you think will happen to the ratings of your players vs the balance of ratings getting to play a larger pool base of players?

Get mr mike to log in to here.

Our top rated player is Ming, who is a tad over 2300. if the Koreans play all of us club members in the ratings tourney, which is likely, I think the rating will be ballpark. Two of our club are very under-rated and could use a ratings adjustment. I think it is unlikely a Korean who is truly 2200 will come out of one of our future tourneys rated at 1900, then wipe out an entire U2500 field at a 4 star tourney.

Yup, Mike has entirely too much hair and I do have hair cutters, I've cut my own hair the last decade and saved a pile. I'll look out for a chance to turn on the hair clippers and operate on that scalp if Mike drinks 10 too many at a Karaoke joint. Heck, I don't even know if he drinks.

So how many rated players you have there?
Set ratings not just from 1 or 2 tournaments.

Good luck
