Who is coming to the vets tournament ? Entries close this weekend. Make an extra effort to enter as this tournament will be organised by top line administrators. As a member of the local club I will personally like to meet as many players as possible. Just make yourselves known to me . I will help with any visitors to the championship here in Palmerston North. Regards . Allen Blackburn.

Talking with Rodderz at vets today..Also Greggy and Greg Letts. Great to hear comments on long pimple playing. Very interesting......All different styles. I think it gives table tennis another dimension. I played Rodney today in the teams event .Smashed me....same as last time....I payed to his pimples most of the time with my pips-bh to bh,,Tried no spin stuff and tried to move him around......worked but I hit to many to his fh...even on his bh side....wack.......I didnt block any back at all.....he wacks to both sides.....very good shot .....WACKK..............Great tournement....I played 24 matches today. 16 singles and 8 doubles...2 man /woman teams.....There is a good vibe at the tournement. 3 more days to go.........Rodney has threatened to take a photo of all of the OOAKers here...Pingpong Stephen here too.....

Greg Letts and Craig Campbell won over 40s teams beating Malcolm Darroch and Lyndon White 3-2.

I played them all

Greg Letts 3- 1 Rodderz won the first 11-7 and then let him come back
Pingpongstephen 3 -2 Rodderz (1 won the first 2 and in control then he came back)
Greggy 3-1 (I think) won the first then some close ones but he played well
Pakman 0- 3 Rodderz twice , he has some great serves including a short reverse pendulum

won 14 lost 13
but beat number 37 in Oceania over 50's and two other highly rated players
aaannnnnd I won the silver in the over 50's team A grade (I had the lowest rating but several hundred points) but I won 2 great games out of 10 in that competition (so my partner had to play better lol) he won 9 out of 10 and we won 2 doubles, when you consider I went partner required and we came across combinations that have been together for many years and their high ratings, I just couldn't believe it, my partner from ACT Wen was more happy than me
I met many Australians from Victoria and all over including case D B , Buddy Reid, and made some great friends, found out some gossip on REB lol
and my ratings may go up 50 or more places on the Oceania list
