Me and my brother will be up at 5am and on the train from Ballarat at 6.30 am. We'll be at MSAC about 8.15 am doing our doubles drills waiting for the doors to open. Sad? Hell no!

You know you are having a good run of luck when you go to hang your cloths near the fire and you see the rubber you have been looking for all day to make up your spare bat, now where did I put the blade...

The initials are too cryptic for me foam! can u give a few more clues to who your opponents were? or even what events the matches were in?

I'm sorry I didnt get down there today. i was going to come in to watch my friend play but he injured his left shoulder in his first match (hes right-handed!) and had to pull out.

How did Reb abd Oskar go? were there any dreaded Dandy ring-ins?

Yep there was a Dandenong dodgy in the draw, I think he would have gone through to win Div 3 and probably Div 2 also. I lost about 5 rating points for the day but was simply outplayed by a guy that probably gained 50 yesterday in Divisions only. I can only be happy with the way I played because I was playing well enough to beat the Division 2 seeds. I just weren't good enough to beat a Div 3 player who was beating upper Div 1 players :). I got knocked out early and still only just made it to my train too.

My review of the actual stadium however is about the same as usual and not favourable :^) . The floor was so dusty (and worn out on the first few tables) it was very difficult to play any kind of quality table tennis and half the lights which are not even bright enough when they are all turned out were turned off up the far end of the stadium where they sent most of the matches to play on crooked tables that hadn't been setup anywhere near flat. Even when the "good" side had 15 tables not being used.... Plenty of people standing around who were due for a match doing nothing for 30 minutes too. Most of the players were not happy with the tournament but agreed TTV has already taken too much heat over MSAC's failings lately so I promised them I would not bring my own mop with me to country week... :P In any case is easily the worst stadium in Victoria to play table tennis in. When it really shouldn't be, I have to keep playing them to get the state team points but I'd be much happier to play anywhere else. Even with the failings of the MSAC I still had fun because the other players are legends and would be worth seeing even without a tournament
